music and vibrations
more people need to truly connect with the music they listen to. get immersed in the world of the artist or what it is that artist is trying to capture. ive notice in increase in empathy since ive been exposing myself to more complex works from various artists. music and vibrations can be just as full of knowledge as any text. the emotion captures in the strings and drums are often overlooked, but they too are a primary source of connection in a world where connection itself is commodified.
open our ears and meeting music halfway is akin to hearing someone you disagree with and putting yourself in their shoes as a practice to understand to world around you. thus, empathy increases.
the judgement of music is equally akin to the judgement on others as a means of morally virtue signalling and exercising moral superiority. this ought to be avoided given the divide this world is already in. having an open ear and heart only benefits.
all of our hearts and minds should be open a little more. especially to music and vibrations.
